IT Decision Audit
Before you sign a five- or six-figure IT contract, know exactly what you are buying and whether you need it at all.
The IT decision audit gives you an independent answer to one question: will this system pay off in your company.
In two weeks I map your processes, check the quotes and risks, and give you a plain-language recommendation with three implementation paths, budgets and a 30-60-90 day plan. I do not resell any software or take commissions from vendors, so my only interest is that your decision is the right one.
- A one-page recommendation: buy, don’t buy or wait
- Three implementation paths with budget, timeline and risks
- A 30-60-90 day action plan with owners
- A list of critical questions for vendors
- Full report with a process map and total cost of ownership
- A review meeting with management
Examples
Typical situations and how I'd handle them
Wholesaler, 3,000 m² warehouse
A WMS or a better spreadsheet?
Problem
A vendor offers a 45,000 € warehouse system and promises it will fix every picking error.
Solution
Mapping the picking flow on the floor, analysing the root causes of errors and three options starting from configuring the existing ERP warehouse module.
Result
A clear answer on whether software or process solves the problem, before the money is spent.
Growing online shop
A CRM that can wait
Problem
A marketing agency recommends an expensive CRM and automation platform.
Solution
Analysis of customer data and the sales process, and a cost-benefit comparison against what the current tools can do.
Result
The advice is “wait”: current tools cover the need for another year and the money goes where it returns more.
What's included
What I do as part of this service
A one-page recommendation in plain language
Buy, don’t buy or wait, with reasoning you can read straight to your board.
Three paths with budgets and risks
Basic (0–5k €), mid (10–30k €) and comprehensive (50–100k €): see what each extra euro buys.
A 30-60-90 day action plan
What happens in the first, second and third month, who is responsible and how to measure success.
Critical questions for the vendor
A list of questions that surfaces hidden costs, lock-in and over-optimistic timelines.
Guarantee: gaps filled for free
If a question stays unanswered or something important is missing from the report, I complete it at my own cost.
Why audit before buying
Six reasons an independent opinion is the cheapest part of an IT project
Buying an IT system is a rare decision. That is exactly why most companies lack the experience to do it well.
-
The wrong system costs twice
Once when you buy it and again when you get rid of it. Plus the months your team works in the wrong tool.
-
The seller is not your advisor
Every vendor recommends their own product. That is their job. You need someone whose only interest is your outcome.
-
The problem may not be the software
Often a process change solves the same thing for a fraction of the price. The audit shows which one it is.
-
Sometimes the right answer is “not now”
If the business changes next year, a system bought today may be wrong tomorrow. Waiting is a decision too.
-
The board needs a decision, not jargon
You get one page to decide on, and a full report for those who want the details.
-
2,250 € is cheap insurance
Against a 10,000–100,000 € investment, an independent check is under 5% of the project. It usually saves more than it costs.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Are you a reseller or partner of any software?
No. I do not sell any ERP, WMS or CRM system and take no commissions from vendors. That is exactly what makes the audit independent.
Are two weeks enough?
For making the decision, yes. The audit is not an implementation, it answers whether and what to implement. Two weeks forces focus on what matters.
What if the recommendation is “don’t buy”?
Then the audit paid for itself fastest. 2,250 € is small next to a wrong decision costing 10,000–100,000 €.
What do I need to prepare?
Existing quotes, contracts and a few hours of key people’s time for interviews. I gather the rest myself.
What happens after the audit?
The report is yours. You can move on with it yourself, ask vendors for new quotes, or bring me in as your IT lead for the implementation.
Can the price change?
No. 2,250 € is a fixed price for auditing one decision. If the scope is much larger, I will tell you before we start.
